Everyone at DB is excited to be re-opening next week!
It's been a long four months but we are ready and fully stocked with everything you'll need for the new term and we can't wait to start fitting your shoes and uniform again!

Additionally, the local council is offering a month of free off-street parking in their 'pay and display' car parks to all visitors to the Amersham town centre between 12 April to 11 May. We look forward to seeing you!

Jazz shoes aren't just for jazz!
Jazz shoes are one of our most popular items at DB and this month we have added more sizes to our range of slip on jazz shoes - they now start from a tiny size 8!
Our customers love these shoes for Stagecoach, drama, musical theatre, modern and freestyle and they are suitable for boys and girls of all ages. Adults also choose this shoe for keep fit, ballet and general dance classes.
Why are they so popular with dancers and performers?
This shoe is flexible, light, comfortable to wear for long periods of time and great to move in. They are made from soft leather which shapes to the foot and the sole enables the wearer to spin and move whilst also giving enough grip on the floor, studio or stage.

Anna's favourites for November.
Anna has worked at Dancers Boutique on Saturdays for two and a half years and she still enjoys unpacking and merchandising the new dancewear and dance products that arrive every week. Our new Saturday team member
We are delighted to announce that Verity is our new Saturday team member! Verity has been working at Dancers Boutique a couple of afternoons after school and has been our resident window dresser for some months now. She will be starting her sixth form studies in September and is looking forward to getting to know more of our customers during the summer holidays and next term. Verity has a keen eye for ballet shoe fittings and has already familiarised herself with many of the local dancing schools and their uniform requirements, we are sure she will impress our customers of all ages and enjoy helping them on our busy Saturdays.

We sell shoes for Zumba! We love Zumba classes, they are such a great workout for 'keep fitters' and dancers too. Did you know that dance trainers are perfect for wearing to Zumba, jazzercise and other exercise classes? They have a split sole which makes them light and flexible and the cushioning in the heel reduces impact when you jump and dance. Their best feature is the spin spot on the sole, this helps you to turn, twist and spin freely without twisting your knees and the grip helps prevent slipping whilst you are mid-move! Dance trainers are also great for Salsa, Ceroc and line dancing. Congratulations to our competition winners! Lucy Garrett and Benjamin Willis have won our latest competition and a £25 voucher to spend at Dancers Boutique. Lucys review was about the first ballet she has seen, Swan Lake and Benjamins was about his theatre trip to see Joseph and the Amazing Techni-coloured Dreamcoat. Kathryn Bull from The Beaconsfield School has just finished a very busy weeks work experience with us. She worked very hard and did exceptionally well, getting involved with buying, merchandising, selling, window dressing, stock management and shop floor duties - she has even designed her own gymnastic leotard which is being made and will be in stock in the next few weeks. Georgina is studying for her A levels and dances at the Maggie Monk School of Dancing and plans to continue her dance studies in September when she goes to university. MORE SNOW!!! We are unfortunately closed today (Tuesday) - we are snowed in as I'm sure many of you are too. I intend to try and get to Amersham tomorrow (Wednesday). We have taken Strictly Dance Shoes on the road! We were made very welcome by Boxmoor Beat in Bucks and Comet Jive in Hatfield, Herts, who recently invited us to go along to one of their brilliant class nights to sell a large selection from our adult dance shoe range.
We had a great night and are looking forward to seeing them again for Jiving at the Queens in The Queens Square, Hemel Hempstead on the 31st October for Boxmoor Beat's Halloween Party and again in December with Comet Jive in Hatfield (venue shown below).

We have just heard about a new local ballet school starting in Beaconsfield. The Beaconsfield School of Dance will be run by Fiona Grotefeld, who will be teaching RAD ballet, ISTD modern and adult dance classes. Have a look at our Schools/Classes page for more details.

As of today, we have upgraded our website. The layout has been changed with page links located at the top rather than down the left side, as some people using Windows Internet Explorer may not have been seeing the page as intended! In addition, we have added some great photos from our grand opening on Saturday which has created a real buzz in the local dance community.

I went to see the pantomime at the Elgiva theatre on Saturday. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was great, I took my four year old nephew who was 'almost too excited to watch' and he loved it. Well done to all the local dancers, your hard work paid off and I'm sure you all had great fun doing the show.

The wait is over! The BBC has announced the line-up for the lastest series of Strictly Come Dancing. Big names include pop singer Rachel Stevens and British Olympian, Mark Foster. In previous years the contestants have worn Freed shoes, of which, Dancers Boutique has many of the actual styles used on the show.
